ANCIENT TALES OF FORGOTTEN GODS
Ordered by their role within the pantheon.
GOD KINGS
Lutis the King of Life
Bio - God of life, oldest of the Divine Twins, and first of the God Kings, most view Lutis as a rather lazy god who sends others to do his work for him, but he's quite a busy bee behind the scenes. He mainly stands as moral support for the other gods and is one of the pillars of the pantheon. His domains include life, birth, and resurrection.
Rekis the King of Death
Bio - God of death, youngest of the Divine Twins, and second of the God Kings, Rekis is a reclusive figure who some see as being sinister, but truthfully he is simply misunderstood not only by all mortal life but also his own divine kin. He's a quiet, sober god who keeps to himself, rarely showing himself as he reaps the souls of the dead and instills illness upon the land. Rekis is also clairvoyant and can see into the future, though no one believes that he can. His domains include death, illness, and time.
GODS OF HEAVEN
Ahen the Sky
Bio - An arrogant god who sees himself as the most beautiful and important of the Gods of Heaven, and has proclaimed himself the leader of the Gods of Heaven. The Sun and the Moon spend every day vying for Ahen's attention, and Ahen adores that they adore him so much. His main purpose is to keep the sun, moon, stars, and clouds pinned to the sky, but he often ignores his duties because everyone and everything loves him so much. Because he is so loved, he doesn't notice the Wind's sadness, as that sadness isn't directed at Ahen. He is fond of looking at his own reflect in bodies of water.
Uten the Sun
Bio - A cheerful but prideful god who, like Ahen, thinks he is the greatest god among all the gods. Uten spends his days playing games and causing pranks, and his heat is seen as a nuisance to everyone on the land. Of all the gods, he is the friendliest and will strike up a conversation with anyone, regardless if they want a conversation or not. Everyone stays far away from Uten, but he is quite hard to ignore because he is the Sun. He has an infectious smile and a playful personality, and that has helped him to gain the friendship of the Morning Star, whom Uten adores greatly as he best friend. Uten's rival is the Moon.
Ogen the Moon
Bio - The melancholic Moon, he is a deity of war and weaponry. Though he lights up the night, Ogen often feels unappreciated and lonely. It is because of his loneliness that he was taught how to make minions, and these minions are now the stars. Whenever the moon is facing away from the land, he is making new stars to place in the sky. Ogen's favorite among his stars is the Morning Star, whom he adores greatly. Ogen's rival is the Sun.
Elogen the Morning Star
Bio - The son of Ogen and not a god, Elogen is the first star ever created and was made by Ogen's tears. Orignally crafted to keep Ogen from being lonely, Elogen was quickly given the highest rank among Ogen's star army. Though he's a high ranking general, Elogen would rather sing and play games than fight. Elogen's best friend is Uten the Sun, which is how he became known as the Morning Star. To be able to play with Uten, Elogen stays out later than the other stars. Because of this, he is familiar with both nighttime and daytime, and he enjoys both times of day equally. He is highly intelligent and the voice of reason whenever there are disputes between gods because he's not a God himself and can give impartial opinions.
Iven the Wind
Bio - God of the wind, he is often alone and sobbing, his wails howling through tree branches whenever he is suffering from his sadness the most. Though he is considered a God of Heaven, Iven feels more kinship with the Gods of Land and the God Princes, as he spends much of his time on the land and interacts more with King Rekis. For centuries Iven longed to be the beloved of the Prince of the Green, but the Prince of the Green loved another and saw Iven only as a friend and brother. It was not until Iven began working with the Prince of the Storms when he learned that moving on is part of love.
GODS OF LAND
Selni the Water
Bio - One of the oldest of the gods, Selni has lived through countless pantheons since the creation of the world. He and the Earth have been together since the beginning of time and will likely see the end of time together. Selni cares deeply for the Earth, though he would not label that affection as love. The bond they share is beyond that of love. Selni's appearance is usually as a handsome face in the water, though he will sometimes choose to take a humanoid form that is more like the shape of a man rather than having defining features like a man.
Duni the Earth
Bio - One of the oldest of the Gods, they have lived through countless pantheons since the creation of the world. Duni and Selni have always been together since the beginning of time and will likely see the end of time together. Duni knows that Selni is fond of them and carries great affection for them, and Duni cares similarly for Selni, as the affection they share for each other is beyond anything words could describe. Duni's appearance is usually a simple face within rocks or soil, though they will sometimes take a humanoid form of stacked rocks or dirt in a vaguely human shape with large rocks for eyes and a kind smile formed also from whatever material they used to form the shape.
GOD PRINCES
Shiramir the Prince of the White
Bio - A god from the previous pantheon, he destroyed the previous pantheon to rule with absolute power over the land. Back then, he was called the Snow and his domains were winter and war. During a war between gods and man, Shiramir killed many gods to obtain their domains and powers, becoming the most powerful god of that pantheon and wiping out all of his fellow gods in the process. After slaying every god on the land, save for Selni and Duni, Shiramir encased the world in ice. The Highest allowed the world to remain dark and cold for thousands of years while he crafted a new pantheon to subdue the Frozen Tyrant, as Shiramir had become known as. Once the new pantheon was shaped into being, they overthrew Shiramir and took away the power he possessed, but he was given mercy by the God Kings. Shiramir accepted the mercy given him and became the god of winter under the title the "Prince of the White." He is currently in a relationship with the Prince of the Green, and they enjoy their time together in the spring and autumn.
Elunir the Prince of the Green
Bio - Before attaining godhood, Elunir was a simple deer living on the land as any other creature. After an extraordinary act of bravery, which ended in the deer sacrificing his life to save another, that Elunir was allowed to be acknowledged by the Highest to become a god. Through centuries, Elunir has learned how various creatures live their lives, but often misses his simple life as a deer. Elunir is the god of summer and has developed a romantic relationship with the god of winter, and their love is what allows for the seasons to change slowly rather than suddenly. Every spring and autumn, Elunir enjoys time with his beloved before they part ways for winter or summer.
Deanir the Prince of the Storms
Bio - Before Deanir was a god, he was an ordinary man living a poor life on the land. After an extraordinary act of bravery, which ended in the deer sacrificing his life to save another, that Deanir was allowed to be acknowledged by the Highest to become a god. Though he believes that gods are unnecessary for the world to function, Deanir enjoys having a new life to live thanks to the Highest God. Deanir grew interested in Iven as he watched the Wind torture himself with the sound of Elunir, the target of his unrequited love, spending time with another. This pained Deanir to watch, so he thought to entertain Iven with distractions. Spending more time with Iven, Deanir found himself enjoying Iven’s company more than he realized. In time, the Wind and the Storms fell in love. Now they are linked, which is why the wind blows fiercely during a thunderstorm.
